This year, Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day is taking place this Friday, 12th December. Now in its third year, the charity is asking even more people across the UK to help ‘make the world better with a sweater’.
With a TV advert already airing and a host of celebrity support, this year promises to be an amazing opportunity to raise vital funds for this amazing charity. We’ll be bringing you the very best (or possibly worst) of the jumpers from shops and departments throughout Hughes land as we get behind this fun fundraiser. This year the UK Government has pledged to match every pound donated! By supporting Save the Children and donating just £1-£2, you’ll be helping to save lives in some of the toughest parts of the world, and give children living in poverty here in the UK the chance to fulfil their potential.
Tanya Steele, Executive Director, Fundraising at Save the Children, said: “This year will be our biggest Christmas Jumper Day yet. We had over a million people take part last year and we want to see even more jumpers being worn this year.”
