Hughes are taking part in this years spooky spectacular for Halloween in Wisbech town centre. More than 40 traders have signed up to be part of the hugely popular annual Trick or Treat trail organised by the towns Horsefair Shopping Centre. A moon market, climbing wall and other activities will be put on in the town centre on Friday 31st October, from 3 – 5 pm. The Horsefair have been running the event for 7 years and had previously been confined to the Horsefair Shopping Centre but has now been expanded to Hill Street and Market Place where Hughes are located.
Head to the Centre’s information room where youngsters can collect their map, along with their first treat and a bag for all their goodies. Then make your way around using the creepy map that shows which shops and businesses will be handing out free trick or treat goodies. Come and see our bewitching team at 48-49 Marketplace.
Under 15s, accompanied by an adult, that arrive in haunted Halloween fancy dress can enter a free best costume competition that will be judged by the Mayor of Wisbech outside the Co-op at 4pm.
Centre Manager of the Horsefair, Kevin Smith, commented: “Our Halloween event is always very popular and we’re all really excited about this year’s. We want to offer youngsters a safe environment to Trick or Treat in, instead of them going out at night. It’s great to see everyone brought together and the children’s Halloween costumes are always scary to see!”
To get into the spirit, my children (affectionately referred to as The Things) and I have decided to make Jack-o’-lanterns to decorate our home. Inspired by these beauties, we’re more likely to end up with something more akin to these horrors.
