This week, we’re delighted to bring you news of an incredible prize from our friends at Sony. This week’s competition will see our very lucky winner receiving a Sony HTX8500 All in One Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos. Read on to find out more about this brilliant prize and discover how you can be in with a chance of winning one in our online competition.
Slim and elegant, the Sony HTX8500 soundbar will truly elevate your listening experience thanks to Vertical Surround Engine, Sony’s latest surround sound technology. You will enjoy the encompassing thrill of Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® from this single, slim-yet-powerful and sophisticated soundbar. No matter the dynamics and layout of the room you’re in, Sony’s advanced DSP technology allows full, immersive cinematic sound from all around you, including from above, to be produced by just two front speakers. Enjoy deep bass sound with minimal equipment cluttering up your living space, thanks to the powerful built-in dual subwoofer in the centre of the bar.
Designed with the current range of Sony TVs in mind, this soundbar will fit perfectly in front of your Sony TV, allowing you to get the best audio projection from the soundbar’s vertical sound engine. Measuring in at just 89cm wide and 6.4cm high, the Sony HTX8500 looks elegant but unobtrusive and won’t interfere with your TV picture. The stylish design features a punched metal speaker grille that will fit in with any decor.
If you already have a Sony Smart TV, you can quickly and easily set up the soundbar’s wireless connection, which means there won’t be any wires connecting the soundbar to the TV. If, however, you prefer a wired connection, then you can make the most out of the HDMI connection with ARC (Audio Return Channel); this lets you send the audio and control information with only one lead. Having it connected this way allows you to control the volume with your TV remote instead of switching between the soundbar remote for the volume and your TV remote for the channels etc.
This Sony HTX8500 soundbar features five different sounds modes, allowing you to choose the perfect sound balance, no matter what you’re watching or listening to. The sound modes are: –
Cinema mode creates a deeper, richer sound, that allows you to hear the film you are watching the way the director wanted it to sound.
Sports mode amplifies the sound and acoustics from the match / event. For example, in a football stadium, activating sports mode will ensure you can hear every chant and cheer the supporters give, taking you as close to the pitch-side action as possible.
Game mode, or game studio mode, was developed by the clever Sony folks over at PlayStation and – thanks to their expert knowledge & gaming experience – brings you more intensive sounds, delivering more action to your games and playing style.
Music mode provides incredibly crisp and clear detail; you’ll hear all the notes ranging from the highest to the lowest, so you never miss any detail.
Finally, News mode brings you clear dialogue so you can hear the speech clearly when listening to the latest headlines.
This Sony soundbar also has a 4K HDR passthrough, allowing you to connect a 4K UHD Blu-ray if you don’t have enough ports on your TV.
This soundbar supports Bluetooth technology, so you can stream music wirelessly from your phone or other mobile device with ease and comes with a USB port allowing you to listen to whole music albums you may have saved in the past.
In short, the Sony HT-XF8500 is an amazing soundbar, giving you cinema sound quality in your own home. You can buy online, use our Click & Collect service to collect from your local store in as little as one hour or why not ask your local store about viewing our Sony range.
