Robots are fast becoming part of everyday life for a lot of people all over the world, and when it comes to making everyday tasks easier they are something more and more people are turning to make our lives easier. As a pioneer in the robot industry, iRobot’s goal is to drive innovation, serve as an industry catalyst and change the world by fueling the era of robots. iRobot has made some of the world’s most important robots, currently using technology previously used by NASA in robots that vacuum your house.
There are only 3 ways to clean your home; Do it yourself, pay someone to come and clean it for you OR buy a robot. iRobot’s Roomba 980 retailing at £899.99 is not the cheapest way to clean your house, however it will be one of the most effective and time saving options available to you this year.
It will clean an entire level of your home seamlessly navigating from one room to another whilst keeping track of its location. It will automatically recharge itself when the job is done or after running for two hours it will return to recharge itself and continue where it left off.
Using iRobot’s AeroForce® Cleaning System it will boost power on carpets and rugs, returning to the most stubborn parts of your flooring. It will clean underneath most of your furniture, leaving no spot uncleaned. If you’re using it upstairs don’t worry about it come crashing down them onto the cat. Using a unique “cliff detection system” previously put into robots sent into space by NASA it will stop dead at the edge of your top step.
With a free app available to download on android and iOS systems you can connect to clean from anywhere, the iRobot HOME App also means you choose your cleaning preferences and check the progress of your robot whilst you’re at work, or on holiday. You can setup your own cleaning schedule so it gets to work when your out of the house, it’s lovely to come home to clean house, don’t you think? With it off out cleaning everyday it means that dust levels around the house on furniture and especially stairs are dramatically reduced, leading to less time dusting and polishing.
No need to worry about it just moving dirt into corners of the room either, it has a rotating brush which collects dirt and dust from the edges of the skirting board and those corners ensuring a complete floor clean. Another unique feature of the Roomba 980 is the iAdapt® 2.0 Navigation System, which uses a high-efficiency cleaning pattern and multiple sensors to “adapt” around clutter and more importantly your furniture. It will clean and adjust itself to all types of floor surfaces from tiles to carpet. ‘Brushless Extractors’ will stop hair and other bigger items of dirt tangling and blocking the robot, which ultimately means less maintenance and less hassle for you.
Anything that makes my life easier is onto a winner with me. For those of you with dust allegies it comes with another invention from from iRobot called the AeroForce® High-Efficiency Filter, which can capture 99% of allergens, pollen and particles.
Using all of iRobot’s ingenuity and clever technology this top of the range cleaning robot is definitely a must have for a busy, family orientated household. Leaving more time for other household chores and pushing vacuuming to the back of your mind. It really is is the smarter way to ‘get it done’.
