There are a lot of things I would rather be doing, instead of trailing a vacuum cleaner around my home: relaxing in the garden, heading to the beach, practically anything! Alas, with two young children and a toast-addicted husband, vacuuming is a necessary evil to eliminate crunchy and / or sticky floors (yuk!). To say I was thrilled when asked to put the Ecovacs Deebot M81 through its paces is an understatement!
The Ecovacs Deebot M81 is designed to deal with a whole host of mess in your home, efficiently and effectively. Cleverly equipped with both a vacuum and mop combination, the Deebot M81 is able to sweep, vacuum and mop in a single pass. The vacuum and mop combo enables the Deebot M81 to easily cope with dirt or dried liquid, cleaning deeper as it passes. The Deebot M81 can easily be fitted with an optional mop for a deeper clean; it will even mop up after itself, ensuring an incredible finish.
Fortunately, this robot vacuum is equipped with a large dustbin, allowing the Deebot M81 to easily clean up crumbs, dust and debris for a longer time! The large dustbin combines with an impressive battery life to ensure that the Deebot M81 gave our home a thorough and deep clean, every day. For me, this is where robot vacuum cleaners come into their own; less time spent vacuuming means more time spent doing something more exciting.
After naming our Deebot M81 (J.A.R.V.I.S), I took a closer look at what it’s packing. There’s the V-shaped main brush, which makes the Deebot M81 incredibly adept at lifting up dirt and dust – especially on carpets. There are also different cleaning modes, which will cope with a variety of messes; you can use the suite of targeted cleaning mode options to deal with whatever you need. Choose from auto mode for general cleaning, edge mode for cleaning specific edges, spot cleaning for when intensive spot cleaning is required, and use the intensive mode to say goodbye to stubborn dirt.
Stairs, furniture and heavy or immovable obstructions pose the Deebot M81 no issues. A clever little robot, the Deebot is equipped with anti-drop sensors so it will stop perfectly at the top of the stairs. Obstacle detection technology combines with anti-collision sensors and soft, cushioned bumpers protect your furniture so you don’t need to reposition the pottery or wheel the baby grand out of the way!
Thanks to the Deebot’s high efficiency filter you’ll breathe easily, too – and not just because you haven’t been lugging a vacuum cleaner about.
