Next Thursday the 19th May, Hughes in Fakenham are proud to welcome Norfolk Wild Encounters to their store for a day of raptor fun.
Turning Hughes into a Mews for a day the Fakenham team will be fundraising on behalf of this worthwhile cause and raising awareness of these beautiful birds. Expert falconers will be on hand to show you a collection of owls and hawks and answer your bird of prey questions.
Norfolk Wild Encounters are a local falconry group based in Lenwade that specialise in raptors and reptiles. They offer opportunities to get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures, spreading education and curiosity. Offering a range of display and event opportunities, Norfolk Wild Encounters are available for weddings and other special occasions.
But probably the most import work they do is to rehome and rehabilitate raptors. Every year birds are hit by cars, shot or abandoned and it is only through charitable establishments such as this that these birds get a second lease of life.
Bringing a small range of their own birds, such as barn owls, eagle owls, a tawny owl and Harris hawk, Norfolk Wild Encounters will be in Hughes in Fakenham from 10:00 AM Thursday 19th May 2016. Cordially, we invite you to come along for cakes, coffee and a chat with the falconers. So why not take part in the Fakenham unofficial scavenger hunt and see the birds on Market Day.
