When needing to do a bit of a deep clean at home I decided that I may as well go a bit further than a vacuum of the carpets and a mop of the floors. Spending hours on a deep clean has never been the top of my agenda so I was looking for something that would do the job well but be quick and easy to set up and use.
I looked into steam mops and came across this awesome Morphy Richards 720503 steam mop. Not only is it a steam mop for the kitchen floor, it also doubles up as a carpet sweeper or it can do both at once; appliances that can multi-task means time saved! With a steam production time of 30 seconds and good-sized tank of 500ml you never have to wait long to get cleaning and you don’t find yourself forever filling it up with water.
The 1500 watts of power is more than adequate in dealing with those day-to-day marks that are left on a busy kitchen floor or the numerous marks and stains left by absent-minded children and muddy-pawed pets on the living room carpet.
This Morphy Richards steam mop has a decent run time of 25 minutes meaning you can sweep and clean carpets at the same time without the need for constant stopping and starting.
Once out of the box setting up is simple and you can get cleaning almost immediately. In the box the steam mop comes with 2 microfibre cloths and a carpet glider. It has a 5 metre cord which I found more than enough to be able to do the whole of the downstairs of my house without having to change the plug socket that I was using.
I felt that this Morphy Richards steam mop tackled all the everyday stains that I needed it to and with the ease of use that it gives meant that keeping up with the cleaning to this level was more than possible with the minimum of stress!
Once I was finished, the Morphy Richards steam mop was so easy to store as the handle folds down and the head can be taken off. I created a nice space in the cupboard under the stairs and it had a new home, next to the vacuum, without filling the cupboard.
Not only was it great value, but it also has It has a replaceable anti-scale cartridge which helps prolong the life of the cleaner by helping to soften the water so that the cleaner doesn’t get limescale build up in the tank. Most importantly this means that I won’t be looking for another one in the coming months – assuming that I keep up with one of my least favourite jobs!
