On first impression I was really quite impressed with the build quality of the Liebherr CU3311 fridge freezer. Firstly, it has a removable door which can be hinged both right and left for both the fridge and the freezer sections. This gives it the ability to adapt to customer living space wherever it may be placed in the home. It also has a slick design with the Liebherr logo inset on the front of the door.
On the inside of the fridge section door you will find all the space you need for the usual bits and bobs that you may expect, from eggs to jars to the families favourite drinks. There is plenty of room on the inside of this fridge freezer and this is punctuated by the Vario space technology.
The Vario space feature with this fridge freezer allows the product to become more adaptable for the everyday user. With the NoFrost and SmartFrost special drawers and the hardened glass shelves which can be removed space can be easily moved around to fit everything into. Along with this comes the fridge freezers bottle rack; this is a movable feature, which is a great storage solution for holding bottles when needed or it can easily be removed for extra space when not in use.
With this Liebherr product you get a whopping 294L of space: 210 litres in the fridge and an impressive 84L freezer so you will be able store and refrigerate a wide range of products for the home. It’s not just about the space, though; this fridge freezer is also full of interesting and intelligent features to make it even more appealing to any householder.
The CU3311 uses Liebherr’s own SmartFrost technology; compared to traditional static freezers, SmartFrost allows food to freeze much faster and reduces the buildup of ice within the fridge freezer. This gives some very attractive benefits to the product, not least lower energy consumption (perfect for ensuring your utility bills are a little cheaper) and it also makes the defrosting process much easier for the consumer.
The Liebherr CU3311 also features a “CoolPlus” function. CoolPlus allows the food within the freezer to be frozen in a safer and gentler way. It does this by lowering the core temperature within the freezing compartments over a longer period of time. This also allows the temperature to be maintained more steadily, giving less variance in the temperature you want – meaning it never goes too high or too low.
Some fridges and freezers may get opened more often than others (depending on family members snacking habits or what you’re cooking or baking) but thanks to the FrostSafe technology on this Liebherr model, you don’t have to worry about losing the cold from the occasional door opening. If the large transparent compartments giving a good overview of the contained products don’t help family members make their mind up easily when looking, then the FrostSafe technology helps reduce the loss of cold from the front.
All told this is a very nice fridge freezer.
