I decided to try out the new 2-in-1 Prep and Blend Blender from Cuisinart. After reading up on the specification it sounded to me to be something special so I was keen to give it a go. Straight from the box, the product felt well built with some weight to it – this is due to its robust aluminium housing and its generously sized solid 1.75l glass jug. The Prep and Blend was incredibly simple and quick to set up, following the instruction manual which is clearly labelled and easy to read; it’s also full of hints and tips.
I found the ultra-sharp stainless steel blades with the glass jug attachment can easily handle ice and hard fruit & veg making it perfect for creating soups and smoothies for the health conscious (although I confess to mixing up a cheeky mojito or two for my girlfriend and I!)
Included in the box is a compact processing attachment with a large range of accessories, made for chopping and slicing and even whipping and grating. I decided to 
try the different blades and found it sliced and chopped onions & peppers twice as quick as I ever could. I thought a race between my housemate (a trained chief) and the processor would be a good bet. The 2-in-1 Prep and Blend finished with time to spare, which allowed me to clean down the attachments before my housemate had finished! Better yet, all the mess from your prep work is kept inside the processor, keeping your worktops much cleaner than before.
I did find when using either the blender or food processor the 600w motor didn’t struggle through my tests and I was able to adapt the speed accordingly to my recipe, as it is equipped with 4 speed settings including a pulse mode.
