From cakes, to sponsored silences, retro competitions to sponsored cycling in the shop window (rather impressively, over 160 miles achieved at our Felixstowe Road store!), our Hughes teams throughout the region pulled out all the stops on Friday and over the weekend to do their bit for Comic Relief. Vicky & Sarah from our Ipswich office were even manning the ‘phones at the national call centre in Cannock. We talked in this earlier blog about some of the local charities who’ve benefited from Red Nose Day so we were more than happy to get involved, to help raise more funds for this British institution that helps countless individuals, charities and projects around the world.
We’ve tallied up the takings, counted the coffers and added the amounts and are delighted to be sending Red Nose Day a cheque for more than £1,000! If you missed it, you can catch up on iPlayer here and there’s still time to pop along to a store to donate or check out our justgiving page.
