Ready, steady… (watch the experts) COOK!

 

Two of television’s best loved chefs will be the stars of the show at the “Our Bury St Edmunds” Food and Drink festival over the August Bank Holiday. Brian Turner and Lesley Waters will each headline on one day of the two-day event, on the 24th and 25th of August.

Brian Turner who appeared on ‘Ready Steady Cook’ from its early days in 1994  and worked at various top London establishments before opening his own restaurant in 1986, will cook in the festival’s Aga Rangemaster Theatre Kitchen on Monday 25th of August.

 

Lesley Waters, who has worked in television since 1989 and written nearly 20 cookery books, will appear on Sunday the 24th of August.  Both will give three demonstrations on the day they appear, allowing an opportunity for as many as possible to ensure they don’t miss them.

 

The two day event will also include music and street entertainment, a chilli festival featuring Mexican music in Langton Place, face painting in Cornhill Walk shopping centre, stalls selling local produce in the Buttermarket, a beach in the arc, children’s farm and magician and the local farmers market on Angel Hill.
