Newmarket’s popular Memorial Garden will be magically transformed into a Winter Wonderland in the run up to Christmas. The Gardens will be dusted in snow with subtle lighting illuminating its magnificent surroundings.
Winter Wonderland will provide fun, laughter and excitement for both adults and children. The main attraction will be a stunning ice rink, so earmuffs and gloves are essential!
For those not brave enough to venture onto the ice, Winter Wonderland will provide many other attractions. There will be daily entertainment, food vendors, a Craft Market, and of course, the Winter Wonderland experience would not be complete without a visit by Father Christmas.
Entertainment will include ‘Spark!’ an illuminated marching band, the Newmarket Town Band, Jugglers and Stilt Walkers.
On its opening day, ice sculptures will enhance the High Street, and ‘Spark!’ will parade from the Guineas Shopping Centre down the High Street and into the Memorial Gardens.
The magical Winter Wonderland will officially open its gates on Saturday 20th December 2014 at 4.00pm, with Sparks marching along the High Street at 4.30pm. Thereafter, the Winter Wonderland will be open to visitors daily from 11.00am to 8.00pm until 23rd December 2014 and 11.00am to 1.00pm on 24th December.
Although a small charge will apply for the use of ice rink, entry to the Winter Wonderland will be free.
Andy and the team at our Newmarket store will leave their skates behind and be on hand in store with Christmas cheer and gifts that won’t leave you on thin ice!
