Lynn Lumiere Lights up King’s Lynn

Lynn Lumiere

Ticking clocks, primeval plants and mesmerising whirlpools are appearing on some of King’s Lynn’s most iconic buildings as a series of spectacular light shows invites you to see King’s Lynn in a new light. From 27 March, every evening from dusk until 10 pm, Arts, Cities & Landscape, Lynn Lumière will transform the façades of King’s Lynn Minster, Greyfriars Tower, the Custom House, St Nicholas’ Chapel, 1-3 Tuesday Market Place and 18 New Conduit Street.

The fun and thought-provoking light projections have been created by French artists as part of the Interreg IV funded cross-Channel Art, Cities & Landscape project between the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk and the Maison de la Culture d’Amiens.

Building upon last summer’s Night Sailors projection by artist Julia Dantonnet, which returned to the Custom House on 27 March, each light installation encourages people to take a fresh look at the buildings upon which they appear and invites people to learn more about the heritage which has shaped King’s Lynn.

Never wanting to miss out, Mark and the team at our King’s Lynn store will be joining in by lighting up part of the shop with our exciting new range of energy efficient LED light bulbs.
