At Hughes Rental, we often get asked about what happens to the appliances as they leave their old homes at the end of a contract and pass over to the next excited customer. Although prime rental customers have access to brand new appliances, their rental status is decided during the application process. To ensure that all of our customers, regardless of account status, receive an appliance worthy of our high standards, refurbished rentals are given love and care to bring them to their full potential before being passed on. We have outlined the full process below:
Unload the appliance from the van and transport it to be tested and cleaned
We always use sack trucks to safely transport all appliances around the warehouse.
Fix any issues with the appliance
We always assess each appliance that is returned, if there are any issues with the item our warehouse team will fix them upon return.
PAT test the appliance
We always PAT test (Portable Appliance Testing) our appliances. This is to ensure all machines are safe for our customers to use.
Clean the appliance
All appliances will be thoroughly cleaned before going to their new home.
Appliances will be tested again to check everything is working correctly
Every care is taken to ensure that the appliance is operating at the highest standards you would expect from anew electrical item.
Keep appliance safe in storage ready to go to a new home
The refurbishment process is finally complete before reaching its next customer.
