Due to previous work raising money for local schools around Marham, myself and colleague Ben were invited to attend the annual RAF Marham Families & Friends Day. It coincided with the 100 years anniversary since the base opened, so a huge event had been organised.
It all started when Hughes Swaffham were asked if we could help provide and subsidise any prizes for a charity raffle that the base had organised. The aim was to raise enough money for a defibrillator to be placed in the local school to help saves lives in the event of cardiac arrest. With such a great cause in place we happily supplied (among other things) a 4K UHD Television, Wireless Speakers and in-store vouchers for any future wants or needs.
As thanks for this, we were provided with our own area at their beautiful event. After an early start, we set up stall to promote both our name in the community, but also to give away free merchandise and discount codes for the store. (That’s right! We weren’t selling anything! Just giving it away) Along with our unbelievable Sky TV deals currently running for all those who are missing out. It goes without saying of course that we also thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful displays by the pilots and crew at RAF Marham on the day, including the iconic Red Arrows. From flips and tricks to the incredible roar of a Tornado Fighter Jet, it really was something to behold.
