The team at our Diss branch are supporting the local arts scene by loaning a TV to ‘New Eye Theatre Company’ for use in two short plays they are putting on show, locally. The New Eye Theatre Company is a non-profit making organisation, based at The Bank Community Arts Centre, in Eye, Suffolk. The company aims to produce new work and hopes to develop talent, regardless of age. The Bank is a fantastic local venue, situated in a former HSBC bank, a Grade II Listed building in the small market town of Eye in rural Suffolk, The Bank embraces a wide range of creative arts, including visual arts, music, theatre, literature, performance and education. Oh, and a great coffee house.
The theatre company have two exciting short plays being put on over 4 dates in and around the Diss & Eye area.
The first is “Bliss in a Beach Hut?”
This is starring Brian Hewlett (who was Neil Carter in ‘The Archers’ – possibly my favourite secret indulgence on a Sunday) and is a comedy by John Gleeson.
The second is: “A Pretty Row of Pretty Ribbons”, a mystery thriller by Brian Gear.
Event dates and locations can be found here and with tickets starting at just £8, this is sure to be a great evening out that won’t break The Bank.
