Diss Otters Swimming Club held their Annual Presentation Evening for 2016 on Friday 13th January at Roydon Village Hall. Swimmers aged from 7, up to masters level collected their medals and trophies which had been won at the club championships held in September.
There were awards presented for:

- Top Girl – Thea Irvine (photo: middle)
- Most Improved Boy – Oslo Chapman (photo: 2 from right)
- Most Improved Girl – Lily Ellis (photo: far right)
Finally, there was a new award introduced this year, named the Chairman’s Cup for Gallantry which was awarded to Ciaran Strike for his exemplary behaviour and politeness on poolside. It was awarded by our outgoing Chairman, Simon Rice to Ciaran’s mum since Ciaran was too poorly to attend the event. Ciaran (photo: far left) feeling much better!
The gala season is now well underway and swimmers have just competed in the first weekend of the Norfolk ASA County Championships which are held at UEA Sportspark over two full weekends – Hughes would like to wish DOSC every success for 2017 as we continue to be a proud supporter of the club. DOSC have some great swimmers currently at the club, some even reaching National Level… so there are definitely exciting times ahead.
