It’s not a typo, I meant to write Bear Behind. Allow me to expand on my bear behind…
One of the most self-indulgent and fun parts of my job role is trawling the internet, looking for… well, things. Things like great tips, amusing pics, insightful eco advancements, you name it. Anything that’s a little unusual; to keep you, dear reader, interested. I do, of course, have to make a connection with me, on a personal level, or with Hughes as a company. Of course, the flip-side is that I also have to wade through lots and lots of corporate stuff, some techy stuff that’s a bit beyond me and heaps of hyperbole (invariably in shouty fonts) about THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE FUTURE (of which, more in a future post.) So, every now and then I stumble upon something that is the right balance of corporate, marketing and tongue-in-cheek humour. Today I have found Samsung’s YouTube channel and bring you a couple of little gems from them.
Originally released in 2013, this fabulous washing machine ad calls to mind a wonderful twist of the old Levi’s launderette ads with some modern-day health & safety. Look out – there’s a bear!
This wonderful video – also by Samsung is what I suspect Thing 2 would get up to, given half a chance.
I profess to knowing little about marketing so the fact that I don’t quite understand what the selling message is, doesn’t surprise me.
Must go, the internet needs trawling!
