We are excited to tell you about our new Hughes Plus stores, which launch this weekend in East Anglia.
We have rebranded our former Bennetts outlets in Cromer, Norwich, Martlesham and Colchester, and have given a fantastic makeover to our Hughes Plus outlet on Mason Road, Norwich, which recently benefited from a £500,000 investment by us and opened a brand new Hughes Plus at 253 Felixstowe Road, in Ipswich.
Hughes Plus outlets will give an outstanding customer experience and offer same-day delivery and installation. They will have areas dedicated to and supported by leading manufacturers. They also have a massive stock range, with more built-in appliances, imaging and specialist audio sections, free customer parking and the same expert advice and friendly service that our customers have come to expect from us. The increasing popularity of our ‘Click & Collect’ service has meant that our website is now even better supported by stores that are not only well stocked but easily accessible.
We caught up with Austin, at our Norwich (Hall Road) store, where he walked us through the new store, explained the ideas behind the rebranding and (proudly) showed us some key areas.
“It has been a long few months but it’s really exciting to see the transformation. I remember the last refit we had 12 years ago, a change that I thought would stand the test of time, how wrong I was.
Technology has taken giant steps in those 12 years; high definition was just a dream iPad’s didn’t exist and we were as likely to send a letter as we were a text message!
Although all the products we stocked had kept abreast of these advances in technology, time had left our store feeling dated and we felt we weren’t giving our customers the shopping experience that mirrored their expectations and the fantastic products we had in store.
Now, thanks to this amazing makeover – instore and out – we can!”
Conveniently situated on the same site as Homebase and Aldiss, our out of town shopping experience offers ample free parking allowing you to drive away with your brand new purchase. However if you would rather our award-winning delivery and installation crews delivered your product to your door we have a wide range of services available to suit everyone’s needs, including same day delivery for those urgent purchases (or those ones that aren’t strictly urgent, but you just can’t wait to start using!)
As soon as you enter the store, you are greeted by a new spacious, open planned shop floor displaying 1000’s of products and our friendly, smiling staff all ready to offer you the best advice.
Venture towards your right and you will see our large range of TV’s all fully connected ready for you to interact with, or allow one of our knowledgeable staff to give you a full demonstration. Many of these TV’s now have “Smart” functionality and this was one of the reasons for us undertaking such a large refit in our store. We have taken the time to ensure that every TV point now has full internet capabilities to allow you to realise the full potential of your valued purchase.
As you continue on your travels you will come across our Hughes Smart Home area, technology central for those customers ready to immerse themselves in a home entertainment system that will leave friends and family weeping with envy. Take a seat on the sofa and lose yourself in 75” of Ultra high definition viewing pleasure and a sound system that will blow you away.
