A couple of months ago I decided to buy myself a George Foreman Grill. This was mainly due to the fact that I personally wanted to become a lean, mean, fat-reducing machine… Sadly this has yet to happen as the food is coming out so well that I am using the five portion version to myself.
The grooved grill design helps to reduce fat by up to 42%. Not only does it make a good chicken breast and a burger but you can cook anything on the grill, even the new trend of being a vegan won’t stop you – as it grills amazing stuffed mushroom & vegetable kebabs. So with 5 portions at once there will always be enough space for plenty of food (unless you are a greedy bachelor like myself). The fat drains cleanly into a tray that can be taken off and washed away. Adjustable feet mean you can lay it flat for cooking sandwiches or angle the grill for your meats.
One of the things I was sceptical about was whether the grill had a consistent heat over both plates as I had read that some of the cheaper brands suffered with this. Thankfully this is not the case with the 19920 as it delivers an even heat across both plates. Although the plates can’t be removed it is still very simple and easy to clean as they are made from a non-stick material.
The grill itself doesn’t take up a lot of room so can easy be stored (put in that cupboard we all have of miscellaneous stuff).
All in all I am glad I opted to purchase this as it’s so easy to use and saves actually having to go near a cooker! Simply plug it in, wait for the light to go green, slap some bacon on it and… enjoy!
