We’ve teamed up with the lovely people at Freeview to give not one but SIX lucky customers back the price they paid for their Freeview Play TV or Recorder.
From a quick catch-up on the soaps to a night of back-to-back boxsets, everyone deserves great entertainment without paying more than they need to and that’s where Freeview comes in.
Freeview programmes are subscription free – exactly the way it should be. Freeview makes sure you only pay for the things you need, not the things you don’t! Customers often ask “But what if my favourite programmes aren’t on there?” Well, with 27 of the top 30 channels in the UK available on Freeview and 95% of the most watched programmes available subscription free, are you one of the people paying for a subscription service you really don’t use? Check this handy postcode checker to find out all the channels that are available to you already.
Channel 5 HD is now available on Freeview, too. This means you can now get all five terrestrial HD channels (and in consecutive order, too – that’s a Freeview exclusive)! Whether it’s The Gadget Show, Yorkshire Vets, Police Interceptors or classic NCIS you enjoy, the addition of Channel 5 HD just made this an even more exciting option.
Freeview is an easy way to receive free digital TV channels, plus radio and interactive services. Freeview is built in to all new TVs, but if you need a new one, we have plenty of options.
You get all the BBC’s digital TV and radio channels (included in your licence fee) as well as your five existing terrestrial TV channels.
Freeview is always evolving; new channels and features are being added to the service. For an up-to-date list of channels use the Freeview channels list to check exactly what’s available for your address.
What is Freeview Play?
Put simply: it’s catch up and on-demand made easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside up to 60 TV channels and 12 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV or recorder is connected to the internet and you’re good to go. And as ever with Freeview, it’s all subscription free.
We have seen similar systems from Youview & Freetime, but Freeview Play represents a universal standard which has gained support from major TV manufacturers such as Panasonic and leading recorder supplier Humax. This has helped to remove confusion around which TV or box does what. If it’s Freeview Play, it will have all 5 free on-demand channels. The integration into the guide is just the icing on the cake.
So whether it’s Marcella, Celebrity Juice, Britain’s Got Talent or catching up on the Bafta’s, you don’t have to miss it, just because you’ve missed it the first time around!
